Well, after a couple of days of dealing with a Havok™ 4 Early Adopter sim, I’m fairly confidently able to say that the Havok™ 4 program is absolutely not ready for "prime time".
It’s bad enough that the physics are sufficiently different as to cause problems for C:SI combat, but even non-physical things are borked. For instance, not once in the last two days has an object I attempted to create been created where I indicated, most often being misplaced by several meters. That might sound like a minor issue, but when you *commonly* spend multiple dozens of hours making sure that prims are as perfectly aligned as SL™ will allow, you know that being off by several meters is much too frustrating to deal with after a bit. To top that off, not once has an object I’ve attempted to rez by hand from inventory succeeded the first time.
There have also been hundreds of what appear to be Asset Server-related issues, but when I go to another sim (even a super-laggy one containing a mall) those issues simply don’t occur. For instance, I cannot conveniently edit scripts in my skybox because at least 50% of the time they simply fail to load - and even after I do get them to load, half the time they fail to save as well - which would normally indicated heavy Asset Server loads yet when I go to ANY OTHER sim it works as expected.
I’m still excited that Linden Lab® is working on a new physics engine, and they’ve done some very impressive work so far, but as a content creator who spends 90% of his SL™ time building and scripting, both of which are moderately to severely borked in my Havok™ 4 home sim, it’s far too painful an environment to work in. It looks like I will be temporarily moving my workspace for the forseeable future

I can’t even count the number of times that Linden Lab® has announced problems with the Asset Servers (hours after real people notice the problem first) followed by a [RESOLVED] notice. Today is one of those days, and there have been several other related issues and non-factual [RESOLVED] posts this last week alone.
And yet….
I’ve gotten about 20 of these or similar messages today
I know, I know, I complain about this SOOO much. Well, I’ll keep it short this time. To the guys at LL posting premature resolution notices, this is how I feel about you right now:
[EDIT] Apparently it’s not just an annoyance that they say [RESOLVED] when it’s not. Apparently there are more serious issues afoot:

Damnit, damnit, damnit.
I had originally intended to post this long rant in response to comments on my post "Is Second Life® even worse now?" about how Second Life® has had problems nearly every day for the last week or more (yes, each word there is a seperate link). There are, of course, many more examples I could link to, but I’m sure you get the picture.
Then I discovered that I cannot link to the previous post, because at some point in the recent past my blog has become very very broken. Fortunately for me, I keep regular backups of the blog data and can restore the site manually if need be, and have nobody to tell me that a rollback will destroy their wedding or break their products
Sigh. I guess after work I’ll be tearing the site down again, hopefully to replace it with something that works.
[EDIT] Well, I was able to fix some of the symptoms by switching back to the default permalink style, but that’s not a great solution because the default permalink style for wordpress sucks cheese.

There is supposed to be a tournament on Shrouded Isle today for weapons using the SCS combat system.
Unfortunately, at this stage it looks like I will be completely unable to get anything ready for the tournament. Second Life is borked beyond belief today. It’s so bad that I cannot view my own notecards (I tried for over an hour!!!), edit and save any scripts (sporadic and infrequent success), or even stand on a pose stand without getting launched and then logged off. The asset server is hosed, seemingly every avatar gets Ruthed on login, and frankly I just don’t have the patience to deal with Second Life’s inane bullpucky today.
I will try again in a few hours, perhaps it will be better, but if that does not work then either the tournament will be postponed (not my call, that is up to Alyssa and Jed) or everyone will be fighting with old weapons.
Honestly, there just seems to be absolutely nothing I can do.
