… where you finally realize that everything you’ve worked so hard on lately is just a steaming pile of poop?
I’ve been trying to create a new weapon, and despite the fact that I have some pretty great tools for the various stages of building weapons, and more reference photos and videos than I will ever in my life know what to do with, I’ve just been completely unable to make anything worthwhile.
The first weapon I was working on, and the one I was working the hardest on and was most excited about, I just can’t seem to pull off no matter what I do. It just looks flat and lifeless, and I can’t seem to figure out how to change that.
The second one is coming along well enough, I guess, but requires animations that are dramatically different than anything I’ve done before, and I seem to be hitting a roadblock there too. And the anims are not optional : It just won’t work to try to use the same old animations, I won’t even try.
Sigh…
Not that I expect anyone to care :) It’s just that it’s been a long time since I wrote a blog post, and I guess complaining is as good a reason as any, since I’ve been so busy working on stuff that’s not turning out right.
I hope everyone else’s endeavors are working better than mine!

i think I was there to. Or I heard the same thing. I did say a few things in response though. Whiners will whine and besides if I was there or it was the same person..she owns a Take. And she still gets beat when she uses it.
Yeah, I haven’t done well at all lately with managing my time, so I actually scheduled (with work and family both, lol) some time tomorrow and Saturday to get that update finished.

Well, I think I’m becoming increasingly tired of the badmouthing going around. At my last count, there are 6 Musashis, 6 Archeteks, 4 Ashes, and 2 Daikons. That’s 18 weapons from 4 devs to choose from. Er…I need to stop this line of thinking before I just start to get mad. Suffice it to say, there are more than enough choices out there for someone to crap on one of the dev’s hard work. If one doesn’t like it, one doesn’t have to buy it, wield it, or spar against it. If one wants to try to help to update it, that’s constructive criticism. This applies to all of the weapons, imo.
On the point of this blog entry, as always, if you need any help Robby, I’ll try my best too.
