I just received an email regarding the Jira issue SVC-1648, which pertains to the problem that C:SI users are having with kicks in Havok™ 4 early-adopter sims, notifying me that it has finally been assigned to Kelly Linden.
Apparently Kelly Linden had not seen the object that I passed to Sidewinder Linden as a repro case :
Please give me a copy of the super simple object you mention. I’m having trouble tracking it down.
I suppose the Lindens get all kinds of inventory offers from all kinds of people, so I made sure to put the JIRA issue number in the object’s name before I passed another copy to Kelly.
Kelly also asked
Push behavior has changed significantly since this bug was first filed. Not saying there aren’t still issues. Have you tested these on the build currently on the Beta grid?
I have not yet been to the Beta grid to test the latest Havok™ version there. Has anyone else done so? If so, please leave a comment about whether the behavior is still the same.
Here’s to hoping for a resolution before Havok™ 4 goes live grid-wide!!!

Holysmokes! I think I just peed my pants a little. lol That’s awesome. I was a little pissed when they took the ability to kick people into orbit. Then not being able to kick people away?! Dang it all! lol This news has made my week that much better.
Okey dokey, well… Would be nice to get that bug with friction fixed, I’m sure there are other side effects which are so far unreported that would benefit also.
As for double-tap, that is a hack workaround. I’ll use it if I have to, but it’s a hack
Adjusting the push values I think the C:SI devs are already expecting by this point, but there’s no point in doing that *at all* until there’s only a single flavor of physics running again.
We need to smite Kelly! Doesn’t she know how important kicks are to us?! lol I agree screw doing anything till they get their crap together. XD
Go view the JIRA issue linked above, you can see the rest of his replies there.
They are working on it. I’m willing to cut them some slack for that alone
